EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY OFFICER

£14,393 – £20,150 per annum

As part of the re-organisation within the Strategy department we are looking to recruit an Equality and Diversity Officer to assist in delivering Nexus’s equality and diversity strategy across the organisation, and the monitoring and reviewing of Nexus equality schemes. Part of this role will be to liaise with and sustain the involvement of appropriate local community and interest groups to help ensure that public transport service provision and improvement planning with service areas is designed to better meet their needs, in particular older and disabled people.

To be successful you will have knowledge and understanding of current equal opportunities issues and legislation, be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and be able to demonstrate that you have experience of working with people and their representatives from a variety of community groups.

Excellent written and oral communications skills and experience of presentations to a wide range of audiences along with good IT skills are also required.
